Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society is a society for students, particularly for undergraduates. It seeks to encourage scholarly attainment in this field of learning by reserving its regular membership for those who achieve superior academic records and who indicate special aptitude for and major interest in the life sciences. It desires to cultivate intellectual interest in the natural sciences and to promote a better appreciation of the value of biological study and thus welcomes into
associate membership all those students who are interested in biology. Beta Beta Beta also endeavors to extend the boundaries of man’s knowledge of nature by encouraging new discoveries through scientific investigation and to this end encourages undergraduate students to begin research work and report their findings in the journal of the society, BIOS. It emphasizes, therefore, a three-fold program: stimulation of scholarship, dissemination of scientific knowledge, and promotion of biological research.

NKU Haile Women in Business
Founded in 2020, NKU WIB is a professional, female focused student organization in the Haile College
of Business at Northern Kentucky University comprised of female undergraduate, graduate, alumni,
and business professionals.

We are dedicated to promoting the success of women interested in business professions by creating and cultivating a strong network of women to encourage interpersonal growth, career development and future opportunities within the business committee.

In an effort to reduce diversity and divide in business by leveling the playing field, NKU created a Women In Business Organization in 2020. The overall goal of the organization is to increase women's presence and opportunities for mentorship, training, networking and leadership within the business word.

Operating from the mission of, “In the future, there will be no female leaders. There will just be leaders.” ― Sheryl Sandberg – the club emphasizes that all working women are women in the business field and this crosses all industries and sectors.

Members and Attendees will experience actionable take-aways from the club’s successes and hardships including how to empower women to believe they deserve a “seat at the table.”

The club focuses on personal development as well as bridging the gap between student and professionals. Specific tactics will be shared that help reach women at their student level, in order to provide growth opportunities to match their professional potential.

The club has welcomed over 100 members and has offered over 30 professional development and networking opportunities including member meetings, conferences, roundtables, and hosted more than 40 guest speakers across multiple areas of business crossing HR, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Grocery Retail, Design, and Entrepreneurship. In just a short time, over 300 Students have participated in various events and had the opportunity to meet and network with over 1500 area business professionals. The club is honored to partner with CareCloset and collect donations at events in order to give back and provide business clothing resources to NKU students and the local community.

Our organization is open to all students, all majors, and all genders who are in support of women in the workplace.

MEMBERSHIP FEES & How to pay:

$30 Membership Fee (for entire academic year). Officers receive FREE membership. Non-members are welcome to attend, however members receive many free tickets to events that are valued over $150 per year.

The Norse IoT club is focused on student led research and projects concerning Internet of Things devices and applications. Through this student organization, we hope to foster a community for students, faculty, alumni, and industry establishments that are enthusiastic about the opportunities IoT has to offer.

Students from all courses of study at NKU are welcome, as the club puts a priority on projects that are transdisciplinary, because IoT touches every aspect of life.

Club members will perform hands-on projects with a variety of technologies, such as microcontrollers (ESP-32), sensors (LIDAR, ultrasonic, infrared, temperature, humidity, etc.), networks (Wi-Fi, LoRa), motion (motors, servos), and visual displays (TFT, OLED, LED, electrochromic). Projects are as varied as imagination allows.

Guest presentations from industry IoT experts will inform, educate, challenge, and entertain club members.
